2025 Jazz Fest School Day Applications Now Available
About the Event
The Jazz Fest School Day is scheduled for Friday, April 25, as part of the 2025 New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival presented by Shell. This special day is designed to provide a unique field trip opportunity for 4th-8th grade students to immerse themselves in the vibrant culture of their city and state.
This tradition, started in 1970 at the first Jazz Fest in Congo Square, invites students to experience everything the Festival has to offer in a fun and educational setting. The day begins with special kid-friendly programming at 9:30 AM, prior to the gates opening at 11 AM, and runs until 1:30 PM.
The programming is curated to ensure a memorable experience, blending fun and education for a well-rounded cultural immersion. Students will enjoy a variety of activities that deepen their understanding of local culture, ignite a passion for traditions, and inspire future artists and musicians. It’s a day filled with laughter, learning, and the joy of music.
We are grateful to Ochsner Children’s Hospital for their support, which aligns perfectly with the goals of Jazz Fest School Day. We look forward to sharing the magic of the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival with the students!
Apply for the 2025 School Day
A limited number of schools will be accepted this year on a first-come, first-served basis.

● Complete every field on the electronic application to be considered for acceptance.
● An authorization letter from the school principal is mandatory.
● The deadline to submit an application is Friday, March 14, 2025.
