Default Chair Review

OK, this is a thread to review and discuss the various portable chairs on the market these days. If you want to discuss the use of chairs at Fest, please start your own thread.

I am prompted to create this thread by some of you who have asked about my experiences with the various chairs that I have tried. I have a bad lower back and have always been in search of the 'perfect' chair for festing. I cannot use the standard camping chairs that most folks use because the 'sling' style of construction puts my spine in exactly the wrong position...

The Roll-A-Chair

Weighing in at only 2.5 lbs, this was the first chair I tried. The seat height is 19" and it sports it's own carrying strap, which you can put over your shoulder. It offers surprisingly good back support. My only gripe is the diamond shaped seat, which creates sensitive pressure points on the butt after a day or two of use. I figured there had to be something better...

So the next chair I tried was:

The Quik-E-Seat Tall

Weighing in at 5 lbs, this chair also offers good back support, and it folds itself with just a pull on the strap. Two major problems I found with it though. First, the way the strap is designed causes the chair to bang on your leg while carrying it by putting the strap over your shoulder. In fact it also tends to slip off your shoulder frequently. Secondly, the front post of the triangular seat tends to become very uncomfortable for men, if you know what I mean....

The next chair after that:

The Highlander

A super comfortable chair, wheighing in at 8 lbs. However, as you can see from the second pic, it is ungainly to carry. Extremely pleasant to sit in though...

The chair I am trying out for this Fest:

The Pico

Basically this is the Highlander with telescoping legs, allowing the chair to fit in the nifty little carrying bag. I have tested it at a couple of local fests this past summer, and I love it. The bag has enough net pockets to carry anything I would usually need a back pack for, like r**n gear. At 20" x 12", the bag is easy to toss over your shoulder.

Thanks, Chris. I was worried it was me.
I've been having "picture insertion" issues lately, myself, but usually it shows a link?
Meanwhile, I'm looking forward to the chair pics, Bry. I'm still using the rolla-chair. I find it fits into small spaces nicely which comes in handy late in the day!

Hey Azeater, how portable is that model you've posted?

Is it inflatable?

And, does it come in different colors?

I imagine that black would get pretty hot after a few minutes in the NOLA sun...
