Default Donnas serving breakfast from 2am-6am...businsess has been slow

Dear Friends,

It's been a long hot and very slow summer but we are hanging in
there and look forward to a busier fall season!

Donna, Charlie and myself (glinda) wish to give a shout-out / thank
you to band leaders George French, Shannon Powell and Jamelle
Williams, along with all their musicians for supporting Donna's Bar &
Grill and helping us to continue to bring you great, live jazz during
these difficult times. We all truely appreciate your support and look
forward to a more prosperous fall season. Without you guys, there
wouldn't have been any music!

To kick things off, Donna's will be open on Sunday, September 30
during the Rhythms Festival that will take place across the street.
Stop by if you are in the neighborhood to say Hi and have a cold one!

Beginning Saturday & Sunday morning, Oct 6th &7th from 2 am until
6 am.........
Donna's is SERVING BREAKFAST

Regular dinner, that always includes the World Famous Charlie
Burger, will be available from about 8 pm until until 2 am when
breakfast will be ready.
Some dinner items will be available from midnight until 2

Donna's Bar & Grill Anniversary Party is Saturday, Oct 13!

Now, for some music...


Fri 10/5 - Switzerland's Full Steam Jazz Band @ 10 pm
Breakfast served until 6 am!
Sat 10/6 - Next Generation Brass Band @ 10 pm
Breakfast served until 6 am!
Sun 10/7 - Jamelle Williams & New Orleans Slick 6 @ 9 pm
Mon 10/8 - Miss Olivia Green's Jazz Vocals @ 8 pm
free red beans & rice served after first set

Evan Christopher & Tom McDermott will be back at Donna's,
mid-October for two shows! Stay tuned for more details...

Yep... walked over during a break in Congo Fest for a cold beverage... the place was empty. Hopefully with the end of summer, things will pick up.

Late (or early) breakfast is a good idea. Thats good to know

Bud and I love Donnas and always hit it to see George French and Germaine when we are in town for fest.I always look forward to it.

shanon powells jam session on sunday nite is worth a visit...
never know whose going to stop in and play...and
his regular band is pretty damn good....jason marsalis,etc...

Glad to see they are hanging on, as they are certainly one of the major casualties of the Frenchmen St. renaissance. I stay around the corner during Fest and it's been sad to see the lack of traffic on N. Rampart St. since the Thing and the Butt's demise.

Thx jolie. Never knew about Donnas....used to stay at French Quarter Suites right down the block....hit the Funky Butt sometimes, but missed Donnas somehow.....will def find it next time.

Ya know I said it was empty.... but actually as my husband reminded me, there were a few people in there. One guy we met was Glen David Andrews...who was busted the next day for parading
