Default Best Western St. Christopher Cancelation

Best Western St. Christopher canceled our 1st night, Thurs. May 3. And they said they are overbooked for the entire weekend. This is crazy . 2 days before we arrive they are emailing us a cancellation.
They are trying to relocate us to another hotel but so far they wanted to put us in Gretna. That is unexceptable we were just off canal and now they want to move us out to Gretna. I don't think so.
We are working with the GM. Hopefully they will find us something in the area.
We originally purchased this through priceline, Although the overbooking was Best Westerns fault.
If anyone is staying here check you emails for cancelations.

Chicago, that just down right SUX!!! Give 'em hell, and keep us posted. Mr. Soul is a VERY frequent traveller with the Hilton properties. He sometimes has a little pull and if push comes to shove may be able to get a room at one of their hotels in town. Can't guarantee what the price will be, but it will be a place to stay if the other place doesn't make it right for ya'.

chicago...I am about to cancel a reservation at the Hampton Garden District...very nice hotel, free on site parking, hot breakfast included. We got resies at another Hilton property on the river, so letting this one go...if you need info, let me know...I will wait about an hour before canceling to see if you respond.

Unhappy

The main problem is that we have 3 rooms and all 3 have been canceled. We have been working with the hotel but so far no progress. Priceline tells us it's the hotel fault for overbooking and that the hotel is responible for getting us a new room and incurring any extra cost. It is wait and see at this point.
We booked this months ago I believe in Dec or Jan.
Thanks for all the info. I will keep on the GM. I'm sure it will all work out. I hope, I hope, I hope. Any info or ideas for dealing with these people will be appreciated.
Thanks

I had called earlier in the week to confirm and everything was A-ok. Then we get an email today "Your hotel for Thurs. May 3rd has been refunded" from priceline. Gee, thanks for the refund but i got no place to stay.
After much quibbling with the Hotel and Priceline, they both blame each other, we may be close to resolution. I am expecting a call back real soon. With some good news hopefully.
