Default brass pass advise?

We've been using brass passes for several years, but now we're wondering about upgrading to something 'fancier'. Any guidance about what perks you get with what upgrades? About what's worth it and what's not?

* The Grand Marshal VIP package gives you access to a private front-row standing area (no chairs). Price is $550 first weekend, $600 second weekend.
* The Big Chief VIP package provides VIP privileges, including elevated seating at the main stages. Price is $850 first weekend, $900 second weekend. There is a hospitality area, I don't know how it is provisioned.
* New for 2009, the Krewe of Jazz Fest VIP package gets you private, elevated seating at the Acura Stage only. Think of it as a one-stage Big Chief. Price is $350 first weekend, $400 second weekend.

These are all 2009 prices, and do not include Ticketmaster service fees.

For full details, click on "tickets" above. ^^^ It's in the 2nd bar down from the Main Heading of this page which reads "New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival."

Thanks -- I appreciate tip --- What I'm really wondering, though, is whether anybody out there can talk about whether the 'upgrade' is worth it -- for us, it's a lot of money and I'd love to hear some takes on whether it's worth it or not --- thanks in advance for any responses!

Loved Grand Marshal, but it is a ton of money. Front Row every set, never had a problem getting in or being too full etc. I'd say worth it if you can afford it. Of course it's only good for Acura, Congo, and Gentilly- so if you spend a lot of time in the tents or other stages, mybe not not worth it.
