So I met Harry Connick Jr. ...

...on my plane home from NJ to NOLA this Sunday morning.

I boarded my 11:50 AM flight and got stuck standing in First Class for a bit. Two guys to my right caught my attention because they were having such a good time. I looked at one of them and thought he really looked like Harry, but was unsure because they were wearing such hang out clothes and appeared much younger. He had on cool glasses too, but his blue eyes gave it away. *THUD* I went for it and asked him if he was Harry. He smiled and said yes. I shook his hand, said thanks for all of his hard work, told him I really loved his NOLA release, and that I'll see him at the Fest. Hee hee. I really should have mentioned the Threadheads too. ;)

Wow! I guess he could not miss Mardi Gras. Saw him on IMUS in the morning yesterday. He was giving him hell. It was funny. btw: Happy Mardi Gras everyone!!!

He rode in Orpheus last night and you could see his blue eyes all the way from the float. He was beautiful! That's so cool!

Sean Payton also rode last night as well as Patricia Clarkson. Both looked like they were having an absolute blast! I like Orpheus...it's one of my faves.

Okay, this is what we'll do. At the Fest we can have a "touch the hand that touched Harry" ritual. I'm not sure if I can keep it unwashed til then, but I'll do my best to hold onto all of that amazing energy.

I'm actually envious of you guys for seeing him in the parade. I wanted to head back into NOLA from here in Baton Rouge, but just didn't make it. I would have loved to see his blues from the sidelines too.

I did catch beads from him my very first Mardi Gras though :) That made me happy!
