How did the thing with the Thibodaux art class go on Saturday? Was the teacher happy? Tell us about it...

OMG...it's been a long time since I could make a young teacher's dreams come true! :D
It was great! The kids were fantastic and the teacher had no idea about the whole plan. They arrived with her blind-folded. She thought that she was going to bungie-jump somewhere because they knew that was a fear of hers. The look on her face when they took the blind-fold off and she realized where she was and what was in store was absolutely priceless! When she came in to the studio, she was shaking.
We let her calm down and take it all in while she watched our video. I still don't think that she realized that she was actually going to blow some glass until we went down in to the studio.
I made a small vase and talked her through what I was doing to try and comfort her. Then it was her turn....she did real well. She was a little intimidated at first, but by the end, she was much more comfortable. She was able to blow her own ball and make a paperweight.
The kids were great! They were polite, attentive, asked questions...it made me feel hopeful for the next generation. I even offered one of them a job! (but he was going to go to school out in CA). It was wonderful to see such great interaction and love between students and their teacher.
I want thank Jenn and Fest4kidz for sponsoring this gift. The students were definitely shocked and expressed their thanks and gratitude to Fest4kidz and all of the people who make things like this possible.
All in all, I had a great Saturday!:D

How wonderful for everyone, it is even better than I had hoped! That is a beautiful thing you did! :)
I think this was a perfect example of some of the things F4K can do as outreach.

This teacher loves that story. And the Rosie/Mrs. RT story too. :)
