After viewing some of your posts I think I already know the answer, but do you post as eZe on the Paceadvantage chatboard as well?

I lurk on that board once in a while. Been a horse racing fan and handicapping thoroughbreds since high school. I don't have the opportunity to put that much time into it anymore, but still like to keep up with the latest handicapping thought. That board has some real characters on it.

Actually that would not be me but now I'm gonna have to check out that site...bastig took my name :)

I spend most of my time at the usual places, Bloodhorse, DRF, TVG, Xpressbet and occasionally I lurk about on random boards. I love racing but like you I do not have the time to really do much handicapping. I usually don't do well at the big events....tend to do best online on Mainden claimers or when I can play odds at a track I know pretty well.

That being said, I can go to the track and never place a bet....I just love watching them run.

I would have bet that was you! (No pun intended.)

Actually, Agostini's is probably the best bakery in the area. And I've been to Amici's a number of times. Great atmosphere and food. Damn good wine list, too.

Cool...my best friend's family runs the Bakery. Her brother Bob I think is doing the bulk of things now but I think her dad is still supervising. Next time you are in, if the dad is around tell him "squirrel" says hello.

Amici's is one of my favorite resturants of all time. Definitely a place to go with good friends to drink wine and eat for 3 or 4 hours.

Amici's in Wilkes Barre? Sounds good.....
I drive back East to visit Mom in Ct. every summer, and by Wilkes Barre I feel like I'm almost home
Depending on time of day I get there, I love good ole fashion east coast Italian family restaurants, might try it
Found a great one in Washington, Pa. (far southwest corner) several years ago, but can't find it any more, seems like its all chains now
Wanna join me?

Hi rev,

I guess I should be more specific regarding location. Its in or near Clark Summit which is closer to Scranton....its all fairly close. Its a great atmosphere but a little upscale (not snobby or anything, just not a red checked table cloth place...thats what I think of when ya say family italian)

I'm not a local...its about 4 1/2 hours from where I currently live in Maryland. That being said, if you are passing thru this way I'm sure we can find something in Little Italy in Baltimore worth eating!

Little Italy in Baltimore is great stuff. Have you tried Germano's Trattoria? Tuscan food that is terrific. We try to go early before a show at the 8x10 but cabaret night (Thursday) is a real treat.

Anytime is a good time to go to Vaccaro's Italian Pastry Shop for some great eats to take home
