Most of us who see "Paul & John" on this bored will think of Sanchez & Boutte.

But when I tell folks around here that I love the music of Paul & John, they think of the Beatles.

Now, I'm not trying to make a comparison between the duos.

But there's no bigger Beatles fan than me. They defined who I was back when I was young.

Our Paul & John define who I am now.

Ever since the cds were released last year, I have listened to "Good Neighbor" and "Exit To Mystery Street" constantly .

And although it took a couple of listens, "Stew" is easily my favorite release of 2009.

I know I'm preaching to the choir, and have drank the Kool-Aid (two cliches in one sentence).

And I love Shamarr as well; I see him as Ringo, the playful one.

I am so fortunate to have come across this bored all those years ago. You all have nurtured my passions, and have led me to discover many things that I would have never experienced without you.

Quoting Rosetree, "I love being a Threadhead".

Couldn't have said it better. Other than to add that in addition to "Stew," Alex's new CD is my co-favorite of the year.

Great post, Dag! I agree with everything you said 100%. The only thing I would add is that freakin magnificent Nightcrawlers cd!! :)

So, we have John and Paul, and you chose Shamarr as Ringo, that leaves someone to play the part of George. Who might play the part of the "quiet one"? GDA is out....Alex---the lead guitar player with the wry sense of humor?;)

I think Mattory Perrine plays George.

Great post, dag.

I also listened to Good Neighbor and Exit to Mystery Street continuously. I love them both, with maybe a slight preference for ETMS. Stew is getting a lot of play right now and I've listened to all of the new THR releases at least once. They all get high marks but I'm finding myself drawn to Cannonball and Marc's Homebrew Sessions.

So much great music has come out of this venture (adventure!). I'm thrilled to be a small part of it and very excited about the next opportunities.
