Hey y'all. I'm new here and I've been looking around and feel like I should have been here a long time ago. Y'all are my kinda people! I've got enough Jazz Fests and Mardi Gras under my belt to know how to pace myself and that I love alligator sausage po-boys, Domilise's, and FUNK.
Anyhow, a few of my favorite bands/musicians in NOLA are Bonerama, Porter Batiste Stoltz, Galactic, Midnite Disturbers, Stanton Moore Trio, etc. I like to play music and when I'm not playing, my hobby is audio recording. I'm constantly in search of new live stuff to listen to and I stumbled upon something cool right after Jazz Fest. Over at http://PartyGras2009.com they are offering up 14 live tracks from Bonerama and Porter Batiste Stoltz. Some of it features special guests and one track even have both bands playing together! Anyhow, shameless plug for two of my favorites, I hope y'all don't think it's spam. I just want to share something that I like with like-minded folk that "get it."
