I missed a bunch of interviews I had intended to catch 2nd weekend. Are the audio portion of them published anywhere on the net, for free or profit? I haven't been able to find 'em so far. Thanks!

Great question. I wish I knew. We caught Allen Toussaint there, and it was great! But the outside music was calling so that is the only one we saw. I sure hope these are available somewhere!

It seemed to me, from the pass-thrus I made, that the interviews were all being officially recorded (video, too). A really great contribution to the musical historical record. I'd love to be able to wander around in all the old interviews of the past 'Fests, too.

They record all of them and have for years. I've never ever seen any of them available to the genral public however :(

The Dr. John, Emmylou Harris and Snooks Tribute were fantastic.

That's one Jazzfest memory that will probably stay in my top five *forever*. I, too, would love a copy of it--even a transcript would be nice.

"Thank you for your coverage of Jazz Fest Presented by Shell, and for including the presentations on the Allison Miner Music Heritage Stage as part of that effort.
Allison Miner created the Music Heritage Stage 20 years ago so fans coud get to know musicians in an intimate setting -- and to document their oral histories as the cornerstone of the permanent collection of the Jazzz & Heritage Archive.
This year, we began capturing these interviews in video as well as audio formats.
All of the interviews that have been recorded since 1989 are available to researchers at the archive by appointment. The archive may be reached at (504)558-6138 or at archive@jazzandheritage.org."
