One of the music channels on my digital cable service, has started playing New Orleans music for Mardi Gras! ...Not sure if other cable companies have the same channel - it is Music Choice on Cox Cable, channel = Sounds of the Seasons . I just sent 'em an email asking to feature this music all year long - if you have this service why not send one too?

It's on Comcast, too, and if you are a Comcast subscriber, you can log onto music choice with your Comcast creds.

Thanks for the heads up on the comcast songs of the season. I was loading up my Ipod for my 20th annual Fat Tuesday party and now I can let my Ipod run in one room and let comcast do it's job in another room. This saved me from running another speaker and I get more varieltyToo much fun.

well it was good while it lasted. Now they're playing some weird new age stuff.... whoever was programming that had some good taste - they had a lot of variety. Why not send em a note and ask for a station of New Orleans music year round!

After listening to the selections while I prepared for my Fat Tues patry, I recorded an 8 hour DVD of the channel. Just in case they don't do it again next year I will have my music ready to go.
