Yea, if you can't be down in Nola, I would think seeing him and being around that energy and good food would be EXCELLENT!
Charles is one hell of a guy! :D

Tangled, I'm a HUGE Charles fan. Has he given you any indication if he is planning to play NOLA anytime during the fest..perhaps at Snug? His Jazz ensemble is amazing...

Hey Ross,
After his email, I gathered that he would not be around for JF this year. He then mentioned The Meters playing.
I will try to find out more dates he is scheduled.
Love him as well!

Got my rezzies for Bob's to see Charles-thanks again, Blue for the heads up-missed it last year and vowed I would not miss it this year WOOHOO.

Hey All,
Gumbo and I hit the show last nite. Good food, great tunes, fun "2nd Line" dances throughout the evening. A little bit short, time-wise, with two seatings (7:00 and 9:00), but it got us home at a "reasonable" (read: early) time. Capped off the evening by watching Talladega Nights w/Will Ferrell ("thank you, tiny Baby Jesus, all wrapped up in your golden fleece diaper..."). Good times, good times....
