Just read on Facebook from Mark Samuels of Basin Street Records that Wynton Marsalis sat in for 3 songs last night at Kermit's CD Release party last night at HOB Parish.

Just read on Nola.com in an article about Wynton Marsalis: "His trumpet may yet receive a workout. Marsalis and the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra close out the WWOZ Jazz Tent on Saturday, April 25. And Marsalis is slated to appear at his buddy Irvin Mayfield's Jazz Playhouse in the Royal Sonesta that same night"
Irvin is playing tonight at 8pm. Might have to check it out!

Marcia Ball played about half the set with Roy Rodgers in the Blues Tent.

incredible to see wynton playing in this scenario. Not what you are used to seeing from him.
