Anybody ever have abita strawberry? My husband bought some yesterday, we're gonna give it a try tonight. Hopefully we like it, since here in PA you have to buy beer by the case. We also picked up a case of amber, gotta get ready for 2nd weekend.:D

I like it!!! It's beer, yet with a refreshing fruity taste. The fruit taste is stronger than the fruit taste in the Purple Haze.
If you don't like it, I'll come up and finish the case for you. :D
I don't even like raspberries and Purple Haze is one of my favorite beers. I'll have to try this.

We tried it. It wasn't the first beer of the day so I don't remember if I liked it or not. :o

I have way too many things to accomplish today, so I certainly can't start drinking this early. I save early morning drinking for jazz fest, I can't wait for my first bloody mary.:D

I LOVE it! They have it on tap at Liuzza's on Bienville in those big icy scooners....ummmmm......

I had heard about it two years ago and only found 2 bottles the whole time I was in NOLA. I even made the mistake of asking for it at Cooter Brown's--the bartender went off on a long angry rant about how Abita couldn't get her any but Miss Mae's had it. I remember that it was fantastic--like taking a big fragrant ripe red strawberry and lightly sucking on it, drawing it over your lips without taking a bite, then getting a rush of champagne-like bubbles.
So last year you could buy it everywhere and it didn't seem to taste as good as I remembered.
