Can't make first weekend, so WWOZ to the rescue. Bonus: just figured out how to stream it through my Apple TV and the big sound system in the living room, so between the "new" 128 kbps stereo stream and some ProLogic IIx magic, we be 2nd-linin' on olde Cape Cod. So are the neighbors, whether they want to or not.
See you next weekend (actually next Tue at the Stomp).

Why don't you email me your phone number so we can try to catch up with one another down there.

This is one great thing about the new airline regulations about everythying needing to be in 3 or 4 oz or less. I had nothing to put our sun tan lotion in so I found some little spray bottles my wife had. I never expected them to work as spray bottles but just as a container. Well, they spray the lotion perfectly and they fit in the pockets of a pair of shorts easily. Now, we take them everywhere.

That's a great idea. I usually carry one of those little bottles with water in it for misting or a quick cleanup, but maybe I should grab another one for the other pocket. ;)

Thanks! Well, in my years of travel this is a first. I'm on something called the "Departure Management List" for the first leg of my flight, which I guess means that they don't know where I'm sitting yet?
At least they got it straightened out enough to let me check in, so for now it's back to 'OZ! :)

Continued karma coming your way.
Been there, done that - it means that you'll get a "gate pass" to get through security rather than a boarding pass. Are you checking baggage? If so, you may luck out and get a seat assignment and boarding pass at that time. Once at the gate (I'd get there kinda early), check in with the gate attendant. You'll have to wait until the end of the regular check-in period to see where you'll end up. It means that the flight is overbooked and you're one of the ones that they'll offer other folks money so that you can get on the flight. It doesn't mean that you're flying standby -- you're "confirmed" on the flight meaning they're going to do their best to get you on the plane. The fact that you checked in today puts you at the top of the priority list for any available seat. I'm sure it will work out.

Thanks for the info! I looked around the ol' interweb a bit, but couldn't really find much about it.
Yeah, we're checking a bag a piece. It's funny, when I originally started the check in process they offered me an upgrade to Economy Plus and it looked like those were the only seats left on the plane. So I declined, thinking that they would just automatically assign me seats. Guess I shoulda paid the upgrade fee. Now I feel like they're just making me sweat :)

04-24-2009, 06:01 PM
Well, that's good news. It means there are still seats on the flight. They're just going to wait until everyone else has a chance to pay for an upgrade before they give you those seats.
