From 2ndliner:
Looking forward to walking through fragrant fest mud, I started anew my quest for footwear. I found lightweight PVC knee high shoe cover boots with non-skid soles: HazMat boots! They are bright yellow, and I love them.

Wow, great idea. Lots easier to carry than regular boots.
Now if only I could find them in purple............

Looks like a good idea... surprised JF isn't selling them for $20 a pair with a logo on them.. HA...
But I wonder .. wouldn't the suction from the muck tend to pull them off???

well since that's technically not dirt, i guess its technically not mud.
does a horse sh!t at the track?
so many folks bought new boots, it will be dry just to keep them from wearing their new purchases.

It worked for King Biscuit in October. I packed my boots and never had to wear them. I am hoping for the same results this time.

I wore a pair of medium weight Crator Ridge Snow Boots that come to about 3 inches above the ankle,at my recent extremely muddy Byron experience.I had em on for 5 days and feet were dry the whole time, fairly comfortable as I put my own insoles in em.
Having said that the best I saw were some sailing boots which were a normal wateproof boot to slightly above the ankle, then became neoprene to half way up the calf.

but when the temp is 92f, and the humidity is 80% +, those boots would melt you.

yeah probably,it was about 80 or so where we were and fairly humid, but the sun wasnt out much.
Last year when we had the mini lakes happening,I took off my waterproof shoes and switched to the barefoot option because the puddles were too deep and I was happy enough,or maybe it was just the Pilsner Urquel working.
