Haven't been to Jazz Fest in a few years, and we usually buy our tix in advance. I'd prefer to buy them at the gate this year, but was wondering if it is possible for them to sell out. i.e. is there a limit to how many they sell each day?

I thought that was the case, but as I said I usually bought tickets in advance. Didn't want to make the trip down and find out the hard way.
Have a happy fest!

don't worry. they will take your money. i'd hate to see the crowd if it was large enough to not let anyone else in. Dave Mathews Band will see a huge crowd but will make it easier at the rest of the stages.

Actually - in theory yes but that has not happened.

How do you handle the fact that tickets are weekend (not date) specific? If you hit the cutoff point, do you just stop selling, or would you also turn away folks already holding tickets?
And, given that DMB hit 160K, can you share the total that would trigger a cutoff?

This year I think they have date specific tix...... ? At least they do for the people who purchased the weekend discount packages and those holding brass passes etc. So I guess they have some date specific tix and some now....which only sounds like a recipe for a nightmare at the gate......

i think that when it hits capacity, many* will leave making room for others.
if it ever approaches 160k again, i will be at liuzza's.

I don't see this happening this year. DMB, still great but is not at the peak of their popularity

What he said. I'd be interested in an explanation.
