Pretty heavy ice storm here along the Ohio River, thought y'all might like to spy a bit. The crackling noise that the giant trees are making as the sway is freaky! 1/2" of ice on everything and the freezing rain keeps falling. Our 10" of existing snow has become 5" of slush with a crust.
My poor 20' birch trees are bent to the ground, but not broken:

Dogwood trees- check out the little iceballs on the tips:

And where were the cats, you might ask?

Ironic how something that dangerous can be so beautiful. True about a lot of things in life, I guess.

I have the ice balls on my dogwood tree, also.

Because of the weather, I get to work at home today.

Those are beautiful pix, Ohio. Atlanta usually gets ice storms instead of snow storms, and they are just the most gorgeous things, except that too often power goes out. I always live in houses with fireplaces here, which people think is silly for Atlanta, but it comes in handy for those ice storm power outages that can last for days.

Gorgeous pics, Ohio!

Did you get all that snow after the ice? Took me 2 hours to shovel out the drifts around my house yesterday.

Nope, just huge drifts and the biggest one was in front of the garage. Also have to shovel the alley since the city never will. Heck, they didn't even plow my street til last nite.
