Our dear friend, Willie (Yeahyouright on this site) donated a fabulous Paul Rogers poster to the raffle. (www.paulrogersgallery.com) Unfortunately, it was too late to include it in this year's raffle. I also didn't want to sit on this poster for another year, so we will sell raffle tickets & it will be won by someone at the raffle party!!!
If you are familiar with Kermit's song, "What is New Orleans", you will recognize the words in the background of this poster! It is signed by the artist & by Kermit.
Just a heads up for those of you coming to the raffle party!

No one has bid on it. There are about 20 hours left for bidding, I think, and the price is $24.99. I've been looking at JF posters for a room I am turning into my "sanctuary". Haven't gotten any yet....am trying to stick to years I attended and subjects & colors that wow me. I really liked the idea of this poster, love Kermit, but decided to stick with my quest for JF posters. If I were lucky enough to make the raffle patry, I would grab a few chances, though!

where is it on ebay?

This is the link, it is an ebay site run by the wife of my partner on our New Orleans fundraisers. She also has some beautiful jewlerey on her site which is unrelated to any New Orleans fundraising.

Besides Paul Rogers, credit also need to be given to my good friend Blue Trimarchi of Artworks who organized the project,

Chris, both Paul and Blue live and work in the Los Angeles area, I am not sure if you all know each other not. If not, you should! :)

One more item added to the raffle party raffle! I spoke with Jerry Moran last night and he is donating a photograph to be raffled off! I was gifted with one of his photos of Shamarr last fest and his art is amazing. He's also a Threadhead!

Thanks, Jerry!

I have the Kermit Ruffins poster that was selling on e-bay. The one with the words to What Is New Orleans. This would be a second one for your raffle, though. Would it be better to save it until next year? It is signed by Kermit & the Artist Paul Rogers. It's in excellent condition. I received it Friday. Have been staring at it all weekend. I love the "thought" of the poster, but the colors don't work with my room. Would post a pic, but I haven't evolved that far with my computer skills yet. If you're interested, give me a shout at price DOT greg AT comcast DOT net and I'll get it in the mail to ya'.

Thanks, LC, but I really bid on it in the hopes that I could get it and donate it. Have felt like I needed to participate more in the efforts here on the boards and this was an easy way to go. I hope it will help out in a small way!
