I assume you're talking about the Fest4Kidz project that Ibjamn does for the SilenceIsViolence music clinics? If so, they are always taking instrument donations. As for whether it's tax deductible, if given through Fest4Kidz, not yet but I'm not sure whether it would be if given directly to S-I-V. Jenn could probably answer that better then me though...

I honestly don't know. Of all the instruments donated in the past 2 years, no one has asked that. I'll be happy to check with Baty, but I feel like if the instrument was donated directly to SIV (as CBH said), it would be deductible as they have a 501c3 designation.

Well ... you'll get the donations anyway. I was just doin my taxes at the time i posted that, and figured i'd ask

Silly me. I thought this might be about the Heritage School of Music (http://www.jazzandheritage.org/nojhf_programsDetail.php?programid=6). Anyway, we are a 501c3 and do take instruments. Thanks and allbest. s
