Well alright, a new bar!!

I'd love a bottle of wine. Yes, a whole bottle. To enjoy virtually until I can do that again for real in July. Sigh, I've been sober since October!!

my ob-gyn prescribes one glass of red wine a day if you want in the last trimester. he says it actually can make the birth easier because the baby (and mother) is relaxed. i guess i should mention, he's from new orleans!! a few of my friends have taken this advice - all is well for babies, mom & doc!!

I'll start you off .......

Thx Chrissa! Just to clarify, after the first trimester, I have had an occasional small glass of wine with food, averaging about once a week. But that doesn't do squat for me, I'm still sober! I'll probably have one of those little champagnes a day or two of fest. Man, I miss getting a buzz on though!! 9 months off (Natalie pregnancy), 9 months on, 9 months off, and then I'm done with sobriety forever! :)

I just tried that to do that stumble using Google street view, but oddly, Fortin St and the first block of Sauvage are not included in the Street View. It's as if Dick Cheney were living there or something.

What's a sazerac?!?

From WIKi

The Sazerac is one of the oldest known cocktails, with its origins in pre-Civil War New Orleans, Louisiana. The original drink is based on a combination of Cognac and bitters created by Antoine Amédée Peychaud in the 1830s, and is reported to be the first cocktail ever invented in America. [1] Since its creation, many different recipes have evolved for the drink, usually involving some combination of Cognac, rye whiskey, absinthe, Herbsaint and Peychaud's Bitters.

The Sazerac cocktail was named by John Schiller in 1859 upon the opening of his Sazerac Coffee House in New Orleans. Both most likely derive their name from a popular brand of Cognac, Sazerac-de-Forge et fils .

So sorry to hear this! I am glad you are not badly hurt. This wasn't an attempt at sueing to get money to fest the summer away was it?!? Don't want you festing in a cast! I hope you are ok, I am sending you some healing karma, take care Mexi!
Trixie

Aww, you are a sweetheart!

I wasn't injured, but I was really lucky! Seriously. The road I was on is really dangerous & winding. I shouldn't be driving it late at night & I won't from here on. It's a shortcut to/from work, but not worth it!

I felt SO bad about that raccoon. Poor Rocko :(

Mexi, I posted before I read the whole thread. Raccoon!?! That is small peanuts, I have already taken out a possum, (or at least something that looked like a possum), a deer, a turtle, a bird and my biggest bag.....a black bear! I am not kidding, last Thanksgiving with the kids in the car! The thing came out of nowhere and I couldn't avoid it. Talk about trauma, who the heck hits a black bear in Connecticut! oh yeah, me.
I do want to say I don't aim for them, I mean I will take a bug outside before I would think of squashing it, go figure.

Holy Roadkill, Trixie!!

I can't imagine hitting a bear!!

Anyone here to serve up a hot CoCoa. Been freezing in the cold rain watching my boy throw the discus. He did a new personal best of 145' 6" and it is still early in the season. WooHoo even though he was hot, I am cold.

Like mine with whipped cream and chocolate chips. :D

You've been gone forever, Montana. I know you're being sarcastic, but we'd appreciate a contribution once in awhile. :)

A bear Trixie? I have never heard that one!

Mexi, raccoons sure can be a pain in the butt, but I like em too. They're pretty cute and smart. We had lots of them in California, they'd come right up on the deck when we were in the hot tub, no fear at all.

MT, hi! Are you festing this year?
