I am a huge blues fan but I have never made it to Blues on the Fox. I usually do every day of the Chicago Blues fest so I am playing catch up to make up for that.
Now that CBF is one day shorter I really have to make an effort to get out there.
So, I'm in. Great line up.

Always great lineups in Aurora we've made the last few, not sure if I'll make it this year but Los Lobos should be great.

Great great line up. But no can do. Graduation parties, etc. this Saturday. If it were closer, I could squeeze in both. Oh well. But maybe I can get to Legends tomorrow night for Henry Butler.

ooops, double-checked. Henry is there on Sat nite, not Friday. Darn.

I will be there on Saturday. I don;t think I have missed one of these yet. It is too bad it is consecutive weekends with the CBF.

Los Lobos is a very good band, though not sure they are a blues festival headliner...but they will be enjoyed.

It is nice to settle into one spot and enjoy the entire festival.

I'm still trying to find someone to come along. I think Los Lobos will be perfect in that setting, outstanding choice.

Very doubtful that we'll make it. We have a house inspection on Monday for our refi that we have to get ready for.

I am working on Sat evening so Blues on the Fox is not on the horizon for me. I may go to Legends to check out Henry Butler later Sat night.
Kenny Neal is at Legends on Fri, also.

Gonna be hot out there today. Look for me up front with the red and white striped folding chairs. I will be wearing my Gibson guitar shirt again. Come by and say Hi.

Sorry, I didn't see this until now. A great day out there. I did see a guy wearing the same Jazz Fest 2009 shirt as I was and another with a WWOZ hat. Any chance that either of those guys are on here?

I was there with a WWOZ hat on.

Overall a good day. It was interesting to see Los Lobos bring the kids up to play with them. They played a strong set.

I was not sure if Henry Butler would have a band with him or not. Sounded good with just him.

Sugar Blues seemed better than I has seen him play for awhile.

The path down the middle of the street held up well and I think improved traffic congestion there a bit. People had a chance to move about, but not block out people traffic. This might be what the Acura stage needs to do, though they would have to enforce it.

Yes, that was a huge help. Especially getting out near the end of Los Lobos with the stroller and all. That cop walking up and down the path looked like he wouldn't take any shit. That's probably why the path worked so well. He wouldn't have cracked a smile if Dick Cheney showed up in his underwear. Were you along the left side of the path right against the police tape? If so, I'm sure you noticed the family with two girls and the baby just a bit back from you. I was wearing the JF 2009 "peace" shirt.
