Wasn't there a brief discussion around here about DBA's schedule and a change of venue for this show?
Just wondering cause we plan to go before the Tips show with Cyril, Tab, Johnny Sanson and the Indians
Anyone remember or know something?

think there was conflicting info about dba's schedule a little while back but im pretty certain this show is dialed in for 4/30 at 8. hope so, i'd like to be there too :)

Belle, I think you're thinking of Shamarr's Cd release show that was scheduled for Wednesday tween at Rays. But now Rays is closed.

Hopefully they're doing some good renovation. When we were on Frenchmen on Thurs, there was a ginormous dumpster in front of Ray's!

If they'd just clean the friggin' bathrooms and buy some TP it would be a huge improvement....

Rays is a great room and location, however on the two times I went, I found the staff to be kinda rude. Had to almost beg for the bartender to get me a brew when I was the only one at the bar on a slow night ( I have had some theories presented to me by some locals which I will not repeat on a public forum ). That block of Frenchmen needs more places opening, not closing.

I always liked Ray's. A great room, lots of space, good acoustics. I remember being there the first night it opened. John Boutte & Kermit were there that evening. It was a blast.
