Blues pioneer, CHARLIE MUSSELWHITE, performs in concert at CALLAHAN'S This FRIDAY night (4/10). Showtime is 8PM. Tomas Esparza & The Boa Constrictors open the show.
MUSSELWHITE is touring in support of his latest release "DELTA HARDWARE." Widely considered the finest living harp player, MUSSELWHITE, is at the same time a vital link to great past players and a vital evolutionary driving force shaping the sound of today.
Contemporary artists like Ben Harper, Tom Waits and Gov't Mule regularly share their stage with MUSSELWHITE. Actor Dan Akroyd cites him as a primary influence for the persona of his legendary Elwood Blues character.
MUSSELWHITE perfected his early sound while living in Chicago and playing "South side electric blues." During this time he earned the respect and friendship of legendary players like Howlin' Wolf, John Lee Hooker and Muddy Waters.
