Our presence there all depends on what time of day we're in that neck of the woods. We'll be driving from Atlanta and might need to hit the hotel first.

i danced while i voted. does that make it a poll dance?

i'm +1, maybe more, but the more will be arriving for happy hour only.

if you have the need for bud select bottle caps, i can bring 10k. you could make a Clydesdale out of them. ;)

I really want to make it. That day is so full, I can't be sure. Even with skipping a bunch of things I normally do on Wednesday, the day's real loaded. I have to be back in the Kworeturr for the Stomp that night.

Hey Gail.... I think I put 1-7 in the original post.. though as I'm sure you know sometimes the pest of the season (gnats/mosquitos) run folks off sooner, usually around sunset. Hopefully well be in a 'tween season?

it may cost a few more $, but you should be able to get an airport rental you can drop in the quarter.
well worth paying for a car for a day, gets you from the airport, you can do a grocery run, a stop in Algiers for RTF and then a lovely drive to the northshore.

Me and Mrs after Rosetreefest if we can catch a ride...Mark/Stynger...you still have room?

Jarts were of the late slinky/flubber era, if I remember my fads. And in hindsight, the Frisbee version was a whole lot safer.

unless its changed, they dont give tours during the week due to liability/insurance issues.

update: i was looking for our posts on abita tours from 2007, but i found this from Jolie stating the tours are wed-sat. so i guess some things do change for the better.

Hey Jolie - you can change Mike & me from "probably" to "certainly" - and we have a car and could take a few folks if anyone is looking for a ride? We'll probably head from Rosetreefest to Bayou Bash - and not stay too late since we're staying with friends in Baton Rouge and I don't want to be a rude house guest and come stumbling home too late.

Yes, the Brewery tour & tasting and the Brew Pub are not the same. The Brewery is located on Hwy 36 (didn't realize it was considered Covington) and the Brew Pub is about a mile away in Abita. The Brew Pub has a full menu and all of it's beers on tap. (You can get a sampler there too)..

You got it!!!!!!!!! Fortunately it's not far from Abita to Jolie's place

I really can't wait!!! This will also help me at the Patry. Two years ago, I was crazy, and consumed more than my share of crawfish. They had to set a new policy because of ME (head hanging in shame). Last year, many THs (who are less enthusiastic about crawfish) took pity on me and after I received my single share of crawfish, offered me about five more servings! May they all be blessed.....

No we don't have to stop at 7PM, but we are going to start at 1 PM:) ... the crawfish will be plenty... but NOT unlimited.

I'm going to order (x) amount of lbs/peron for what looks like between 30-40 people. I know not everyone eats crawfish, and some eat more than others (ME!!) so it should all even out.

I'll order next Wednesday..so folks still have time to decide.

For you non crawfish eaters there will be sausage, taters, corn. Popeye's and other assorted sandwiches and stuff.

Still in the air about the Oysters (will definately check the price/availability)
and speak to the hubs about shucking.
