I'm pretty sure the Blind Boys started within about a half hour of the advertised starting time last year. It took some time to get everybody in the door and they started pretty much straight away when everybody was in.

If the Dirty Dozen opens for the Blind Boys as one would infer from the listing, then I would think the Boys come on 10ish. I would call Tip's box office and ask who is playing first if you want to be sure. 504-895-8477

Last year all the "guests" played w/ BBA, noone opened....I'm assuming it'll be the same format this year, see ya there!

I was at that show last year, too. It was one of the highlights of fest 08 for me. I decided to call Tip's and I was just told that the Dirty Dozen will open for the Blind Boys and will not play with them. I was given show times of 9:30 for Dirty Dozen and 11ish for Blind Boys. As I have decided to work on Monday, that means I am going home after fest. Too late to be up at 6am:(
