'gooch b. there, and psyched for the event. It's cool to attend the kickoff concert of the tour, but my experience with Bruce is that his shows get better as the tour goes on (sort of the opposite of Van), with both the band and the arrangements getting tighter, hotter, etc. Nevertheless, any Bruce is better than no Bruce, and I've never seen him put on a bad show. Here's hoping he doesn't devote a lot of time to the new album, though. Gimme Rosalita!

Really good show, especially for an opener. The band sounds great. Bruce is in good voice, great shape, high energy. Clarence obviously doesn't get around like he used to, but he had his moments. Max, Steve, and Lofgren were fantastic. The fiddle player from the Sessions bad is awesome, and the backup singers were fine. There was very little of Patty, which is fine with me.
I'm always a little disappointed when I don't hear "Rosie", but there were no real complaints (other than I don't really like the new album--Outlaw Pete was good, though). He rocked for nearly 3 hrs and sent us home happy.
If you can get tickets, do it. He gets better with each show.
