Hey Now--- Is anyone else still going to be around on Monday 5/4?

I dont fly home untill tuesday, so if anyone who will still be in town on monday wants to meet up for lunch or a beer in the evening, feel free to get in touch.......

I will be solo this year (my buddy Dave got divorced last year, and moved from New Orleans to Toyko) so it would be nice to meet up, if anybody else is so inclined.

I know that after Fest we will all be pretty wiped out, but a quiet meal would be welcome at some point.

Let me know, Matthew

Monday is supposed to be Threadhead Records Day at LMF. I have to be at work on Tuesday, but I'm planning to hang aroung LMF for as long as I can. I've given thought to booking an extra day and taking an extra day of vacation and going back on Tuesday and returning to work on Wednesday; it's possible. I just need the proper justification.

A bunch 'o folks are planning on being at LMF on Monday for the THR artist in-store event. I'm not sure of the times but there's a thread about it somewhere...

No, I can (and plan to) be at LMF most of the day. I live just a two hour drive away. It's the going out later in the evening I have to justify.

I am not sure what Threadheads Records day is........

Will there be in store sets like there is on the days between Fest weekends?

I always make a point of hitting LMF anyway, so it will be great to see familiar faces!!!

(I have heard of Threadhead Records, and Swag explained how it's someting you can donate $$$ towards, but I am kind of out of the loop on the details)

You could always justify it by telling anyone who asks that you only went out to keep a "mormon" friend on the straight and narrow.......

See everyone at LMF.

Our Monday tradition is to get together at the Gumbo Shop on St. Peter for brunch.

We all moan about our heads and celebrate the Fest and our friendships, then stagger out on our separate ways...

Sounds like a new tradition is brewing - brunch follow-up at LMF for THR Day!!!

Hey now Matthew - sounds like you'll be in good company, but I'll drift back to your original message and say that you are more than welcome to join us for brunch. We usually get together around 10:30 or so... I guarantee we're kind peeps, and very veteran Festicles, er, Festivarians.

The Too Fine Krewe.

Let's keep in touch as the date draws near. For the rest of yall: See at the Fact'ry ! :D

"Click Clack" ~ Captain Beefheart ~

Two trains
Two railroad tracks
One goin' 'n the other one comin' back
There goes my baby on that ole train
I say come back come back baby come back
Click clack click clack
There's my baby wavin' her handkerchief down
My ears stand up when I hear that sound
This time it sound like it's for keeps
Click clack click clack

I get down on the ground
With the gravel around
I pray t' the Lord
That the train will stop
Turn right around
'N never stop till it drop my baby off

Now I had this girl
Threatened 'n leave me all the time
Maybe you had uh girl like that
I-yuh all time cryin'
Well I had this girl
Threatened 'n leave me all the time
Threatenin' t' go down t' N'Orleans-uh
'N get herself lost 'n found
Maybe you had uh girl like this
She's always threatenin' t' go down t' N'Orleans
'N get herself lost 'n found

C'mon I'll play it for yuh
Lemme tell yuh 'bout it
Lemme tell yuh 'bout it
There were two railroad tracks
Click clack click clack
One ah them leavin'-uh
'N the other one comin' back
I was two years from yuh baby
You were goin' way up the tracks
The train was leavin'-uh
I could see yuh wavin' your handkerchief

Heya Moon: Yeah you right!

Quoting my Mother-In-Law (may she rest in peace):

'You can't soar with the eagles in the morning when you've been out hooting with the owls all night."

My Sacred Second Sunday evenings are usually focused on survival / recuperation.

By the time Fest is 'officially' over, a nice meal and several nightcaps are (usually) what I'm craving...

Still: It's Jazz Fest, dang it! We'll sleep when we're dead! :D

Ahem.

Of course, you know you're welcome if ya wanna join us. It's a casual thang... Just let me know, bro. You too, Matthew. Remind me when we get together, I'm happy to exchange phone numbers. (I got yours already Moon.)

What's that quote from Jim Henson/Kermit the Frog?

"Well, I have a dream too, but it's about singing and dancing and making people happy. It's the kind of dream that gets better the more people you share it with. And I found a whole group of friends who have the same dream, and that makes us sort of like a family."

Peace yall.
