It looks like this will be held in Alice Tully Hall.

I'm worried that it's the wrong venue for the show - I can't imagine a Stomp in a theater setting, with fixed seats and no place to dance.

It looks like the first two events will be part of the "Midsummer Night's Swing" program, which is aimed at dancers. They do dance lessons the first hour, then the band comes on at 7:30. We've gone to these in past years. It was two sets of music. And if you didn't want to join the dancers you could just lurk around the outskirts and watch for free. But I see that is being held in a different part of Lincoln Center than before (Damrosch Park, where the New Orleans show was held last summer) so I'm not sure if that will still be the case.

Only the Wardell tribute is at Alice Tully Hall.

It says the lineups will be announced on April 22nd.

I'm not a big fan of sit down shows but I think a two-hour revue featuring Wardell's classy big band should work fine in that setting.

The soul show will include the Bo-Keys with William Bell and Harvey Scales, according to the Bo-Keys site.

I caught the last 45 minutes last night after having my world rocked apart at Castle Clinton by the Sly & The Family Stone tribute by Steven Bernstein and the Millenial Territory Orchestra. That Castle Clinton show was THE show of the year, and I'll have more to say on it when I can collect my thoughts.

Hearing William Bell's ballads (and mistakenly thinking he was Archie Bell and waiting in vain for "Tighten Up") was admittedly a letdown after having come from such a spectacular high energy show, so I'm not the best person to ask for an opinion there. That said, the finale of The Bobbettes' "I Shot Mr. Lee" was fun.

I'm gonna try to go back tonight. Sadly, Sunday appears to be sold out.
