Sounds like there are quite a few of us on the bored that were conceived in 1958.
I'm a June baby.
Fuck me I'm old. I was already in school by 1958.

December 1958 here.
Some were talking of a turning 50 gathering during the Fest. I know my wife Chrissa
spoke of it with Frank (Nola) & Mark (Rosetree) and a few others... could be a meet-up
theme one day by the beer tent! A photo op maybe?
I'm now 3 months into my 50's ... Whew! been there, done that!

November, 1959 and still rocking. Not quite as hard as a couple of decades ago, but I can still get out there and shake it.
Happy 50th '59'ers! Rock on with your bad selves!

You people better keep up, I'm already half way to the next milepost.
Jan. 1959.
I keep saying "50 is the new 40." But I think "Fuck me I'm old" might be closer to the truth....at least that's what my knees and hips keep telling me.

I just saw an article that 2007 had the highest birth rate in U.S. history, barely ahead of the second highest rate in 1957. I guess the height of the Festers' baby boom was 1959!

You said, "I told somebody the other day I've gone from overgrown teenager to senile old fart, completely bypassing the whole mature adult phase."
Quit stealing my lines!
It all happened to me at age 36... my 18 year old girlfriend went off to college (forgive me, I was a barely legal cradle robber), and I blew out remaining functional knee.... instant middle age
Sept.6 1950 for me, 25 years to the day, on even quarter centuries, after Blues legend Jimmy Reed.... 25 years after me, on the day, was born Chicago Cubs slugger Derrick Lee
big deal, right?

We could write HIM a song and perform it..... was it Swag who is quite the songwriter?
The other thought I had... when I was researching publishing for Paul's book, you can get a hard cover book printed fairly quickly and just get one copy. We could do a threadhead birthday book for him... maybe all who want to could have a personal message or birthday wish printed on a page and we could include lots of threadhead photos. We could leave a bunch of blank pages for stragglers to handwrite messages. Such a nice relationship between Paul and the threadheads, it might be a nice way to commorate it. Think I'd need to allow two weeks for printing and delivery so I'd want to have all messages and photos by this coming weekend.

He responded on Facebook to my inquiry about that Friday: "That Friday night is my birthday so I'm inviting some friends to play. Alex, Matt, Craig, Shamarr, should be a hoot." - Maybe we can get one of them to pen a little ditty we could all sing along with?

We'd have to be quick!
Well I am very sorry to miss this as well as the rest of the Festgiving events, but I just thought I would add my quick .02 on the ditty for Paul. I am happy to help with lyrics if desired, but may I suggest a title in any event: "Dirty Sanchez." Perfect title for his 50th birthday song IMO, especially one that Alex would write. Tongue-in-cheek, of course...
