I have Duke, Oklahoma,Memphis and Louisville, with The Cardinals taking it all. My dark horse is Siena.

Tough to tell how good Memphis really is because their conference is so weak. I think their streak ends in the second weekend.

Being a Connecticut Husky, of course I hate Duke, so I really can't comment on that pick objectively.

My Huskies are not as strong as we were before we lost Dyson, but the West region has been very kind to us historically. I hope we face Memphis because I think we'd clean the floor with them. Washington (the other Huskies) scare me the most in our bracket on first glance. Tough match-up for us. Other than that, I like our draw.

LSU limped in to the dance.
Butler first and if they win, North Carolina awaits them....they should have played better in the end...oh well:(

Be careful about making such comments. I have great respect for Connecticut, and Thabeet is a beast. Just because the media tells you how weak our conference is is no reason to believe that. It's not as strong as yours by any stretch, but it is hard to gauge. I do hope we get a chance to find out.

I hear ya Stax. It's not just the media telling me how weak C-USA is; when you see what the teams in that conference do against others, it does tell you something. That said, Memphis can only beat the teams it plays, and it has done that pretty well. And you're right, as I also suggested, it's tough to really tell until they mix it up with some good competition outside their conference. I just think a streak like they have can be a bad thing come tourney time. And I don't like Calapari going back to his days at UMess, so I'm admittedly a little less than objective when it comes to his teams too.

But, given UConn's recent tournament woes, I should be more guarded. There are a lot of things going for us historically, such as the region and the five-year gap between National Championships, both of which could be a nice pattern for us. But we have our share of flaws too, namely outside shooting, perimeter defense, depth and toughness, all of which took a significant hit when we lost Jerome Dyson a few weeks ago.

Overall, I think there is less separation among the top twenty or so teams this year than there usually is; that should make for a very good and unpredictable tournament.

To be honest, I'm pleasantly surprised to see Radford in the dance.

I have Villanova going to the final four (after all I graduated from there) and I think they actually have a shot to make it that far. I don't see anyone beating North Carolina and Louisville though.

Do they realize how much class the Final Four teams will miss? Did they give any thought to the fan bases having to travel three straight weekends? Why are they letting weak conferences like the SWAC have a spot in the tournament when they have no chance of winning? Aren't the players going to be worn out when this is all over? What meaning does the regular season have?

Plus even though they let 65 teams in, we're STILL arguing about who should have been invited. You don't even have that advantage. They need to just let the sportswriters and coaches vote on the champion.

I'd love to see a UConn-Memphis matchup. My local school (Syracuse) beat both of them this year, but I don't know if we could beat either one if we played them again.

UConn and Memphis are both great teams. I think Memphis will go further than UConn, but who knows? It's going to be a great tournament.

Chief Kickingstallionsims takes major offense to that!

Yeah, we didn't do much of that at UConn. What with the cow-tipping, and all the other things to keep us busy...
