ooh, we were pretty tanked by that point huh? lol!! so many good pics from St. Paddy's day last year. Can't wait to see the new ones from this year. Bummer you can't go out today Jenn but sounds like you had a great weekend though :)

Ok, me and Jolie will make up for yall not being there. Me and Lisa are making jello shots too so we will have lots of shite going on in the Channel.
Will take lots of pics of the boys marching as well. Gotta see Gumbo!!!
I love Parasols. Roast beef po boys and Irish car bombs rock.

Oh it was a beautiful day! Very warm and sunny and about as packed as I recall seeing it in a long time. Went for blocks in every direction. Many, many TH and TH friends and family. Lots and lots of jello, beer, roast beef sammies, sunshine and smiles:)
I got a couple of pictures, before my battery died:mad: and will try to post a few later.

Man that was tooooo much fun....the weather gawds definitely showed the Irish some love yesterday as it was about as perfect a day as someone walking in a black tux in a p-rade can ask for. :D

Just got back from 10 wonderful days/nights in N'awlins, unfortunately no job found me, so Jazzfest will not be happening for me this year.
It was great to hook up with da Threadheads on St. Pats at Parasol's. The weather was perfect, and remained so most of my trip. Saw some great music including John Mooney for the first time, Cedric Burnside ( "Katy, where did you go" ? ) and my new favorite, Sista Otis at Apple Barrel. The street theatre was in full bloom and I must say, New Orleans looked "Mahvelous".

This sound was born in Detroit, could only be born in Detroit. As the Story goes, in a lil' Jazz club downtown after hours... a few drinks and clouds of reefer hangin' in the air... Lady Blues was feeling the Soul from Motown, so she Hip-Hopped up on Motown's lap, Rocked back and forth and got the Funk on. Meanwhile, Folk wondered in off the streets with crazy hair and dark shades and wrote the story down. On that night, Sista Otis was conceived.

It was nice to meet you (again). Sorry about the job search and that you can't make it to Fest, but I'm glad you made it down for a trip.
