So everybody is bright eyed and bushy tailed this morning I presume? Our big plans for hanging close to home last night fell through and we were compelled to go down to Frenchmen. Oh, the horror!

I'm prety sure were home by three bells though.

I was up at 5:30 working on music for you. Do the words, "bite me" mean anything to you?

Everything is very tentative, but I'm looking at first weekend through the daze between. If I can swing it, I might add Thursday. Of course, I still don't have the financing worked out, but I did get the transmission in the wife's car.

Great. We're first Friday through Wednesday 'tween. When we met last year we figured out that we were at most of the same stages at the same times, so I'm looking forward to running into you without even trying.

Well, anxious to hear all about the party in the park.

Here in Chicago I enjoyed a fabulous ST Patty's. Warm weather, almost 50F, very sunny . All vary rare. A large crowd for the parade, which had nearly 150 units.

Probly 70% were unions - the pipefitters, the stacktesters, the operating engineeers, the plumbers (they alsio dye the river green), electricians and teamsters. Several locals each. With humunous shiny trucks. And many a big police pipeband. Blasting. Very sweet. Oh, and a group of 10 very well done Elvis's with green hair and green jumpsuits. Lotsa green bling all round. Couple huge macy's-ballon thingys - Kermit (no, the green one) and a leprechan soaring overhead. It's no mardis gras, but it's as close as we get here. The First rite if sping!!!!!!

Some singing of old Irish favs, a few pints in a fakey Irish pub with a gorgeous huge old Irish bar, a little late lunch and I'm done for the day. It was a great day, but I'm already done. Gonna need a lot mote training before fest!!!!

50 degrees? Warm? WTF?

Did they throw you any produce at your parade? I think we came home with 8 cabbages and a few carrots and onions....

No produce thrown or caught. Mostly green beads & Starbucks instant coffee packets & candy. But one of the funniest moments was when my friend Ed caught something - we couldn't see what it was. OMG it's a hot dog! Warm, on a bun, cooked, ready to go. No mustard tho. We never did figure out who threw it.

I couldn't do it - but several in the group shared it. I was laughing too hard.
