...i wasn't too excited about it...for me there was too much going on....too many flavors and textures..if i'm going to shell out this many bucks...hmmm...maybe Arnaud's (hmmmm...Brabant or Souffle potatoes w/ Bernaise sauce)

I've used this board as well for good current advice about food in New Orleans (and other places.) http://www.chowhound.com/boards/9

I've used this one too. I know some people that are big fans of Tom Fitzmorris, but there is some good info on this site.

I have eaten there, it was nice, but I think overly ambitious. It's sort of asian fusion with local ingredients. I think the chef is a big Iron Chef fan or maybe a former contestant? I remember the Kobe beef was good, and the desserts were funky. I preferred Cuvee. You can check out the menu on line. It's in the Hotel Provincial, which looks REALLY nice.

I love Iron Chef - I've seen the chef from August on there before, but don't remember this guy.

Sounds good - I travel in Asia & I like Asian fusion. I may have to try this...

I’ll start out w/ - Wild Hedgehog and Blue Foot Mushroom Risotto with Italian Pancetta, Local Scallions and White Truffle Oil (Never had hedgehog before! - kidding!)

For the main course I think I’ll go w/ the Honey-Braised Australian Lamb Shank with Apple Wood Smoked Bacon and Scallion Whipped Potatoes and Heirloom Root Vegetables (big lamb fan):D

Polish it off w/ the Huckleberry Cobbler with Sage Streusel and Sage Ice Cream

Where Stella is located, has a note on their website, $69 rooms for "volunteers" working in NOLA. Don't know what you'd have to show them for ID or if they are offering during JF.

Yeah..Asian fusion is not my tup of cea....but it sounds kewl...hope it's good...let us know!
