I just saw a Guy Fieri segment on Food Network on Joey K's Restaurant on Magazine St. They made it look great, but of course, they make all places look great.

I'm not familiar with this place. Any thoughts to share?

Joey K's has been around forever - or at least - it seems that way.

They are a good value restaurant that has good solid food. They went through a period when things were not great - but in the last couple of years they have come back strong.

Shrimp is great, and fried artichoke hearts....(yum). they have a good meatloaf, chicken fried steak, paneed veal - you know - plate food....with generous portions. Reasonable prices anywhere from $8-15 for an entree.

Definitely a great find for a budget fester - and something to add to the list for those who want good solid food at a good solid price.

The wait can be a bugger during Fest - but it gets a thumbs up.

And I almost forgot - huge a$$ beers..... lol

I agree with Onj, much better now than it was in the last few years and has been here forever.
