Saw it last night..... too weird. Thought Letterman was going to fall out of his chair when JP said he'd love to come back and sing one night!

Its a brilliant PR stunt. It's been all over Yahoo, cnn.com, Facebook, making the full rounds of the internet.

You could tell Dave was uncomfortable, but I think he handled it alright. I don't think DL noticed when JP stuck his gum under the desk.

When Paul is laughing at you for being out of it, that's saying something.

People lets remember two things that I think can safely be said about this:

1. Letterman is the king of set-ups like this (see Jerry Lawler/Andy Kaufman).
2. Phoenix is making some kind of Borat-esque/Spinal Tap do up with Casey Affleck.

I enjoyed it for those two reasons.

Listening for Paul's musical statement with the song choice has always been one of my favorite parts of watching the show.

I don't care whether that was real or staged but that was very entertaining. I would love to see more of that on tv.

I'm not that big of the older Dave but when he's had those uncomfortable moments...Farah, Madonna, Cher, Crispin to name a few that when he's the most entertaining.

lmao, the latest and greatest:

Heckler gets a good Joaquin

"The incident took place at around 2am. Joaquin was in his usual get-up of suit, dirty trainers and taped-up sunglasses along with his now-trademark scruffy beard.

One fan said: “I saw the guy screaming at Joaquin. “Joaquin then flipped and jumped into the crowd.”

The Walk The Line star, who has battled alcohol addiction in the past, has prompted concerns for his well-being since announcing his retirement from acting in October.

He made a disastrous hip-hop debut in Las Vegas in January where he performed three tracks before falling off stage. Joaquin then caused further worry with a shambolic appearance on David Letterman's Late Show.

However many fans feel the whole thing is a hoax, as all the incidents have been filmed by his brother-in-law CASEY AFFLECK. Casey was once again in the audience in Miami, capturing the the performance on his video camera."

Wait till you see the video:
