Not exactly the '08 fest line-up; but pretty darn impressive.

Do not miss this. Last year that Disturbers set in the downpour was the best of the Fest for me. I think that the only ones missing from that performance that are playing MG weekend are Skerik and Kirk Joseph. I refuse to miss the their upcoming slot on the second Saturday.

Nice. I actually prefer Ben Ellman to Skerik, so I daresay this lineup looks better!
Skerik and Ben played together a few weeks ago with The Disturbers and kicked serious ass. If I had to choose one or the other with the Disturbers it would be Ben, but Skerik is a delight most times!
Can't beat this show, especially during Mardi Gras.

I believe there is an additional trumpet player missing from that Fest lineup too. We had a thread about it last year but I can't recall if we ever identified him definitively.

I missed this last year, but will not make that mistake this year. Top of my list. Many, many bored posters have said this was their highlight of '08.

Shamarr played with them at fest. And yes, there was another dreadheaded trumpet player and there was a guy who talked a lot. I know Shorty was listed on the Disturbers cd but was he there?
No, Shorty was out of town that day.
