I had been hearing rumors that Neil Young was going to be Quint's TBA but it looks like that instead was...pardon me, just swallowing hard here...Bon Jovi. Losing Aretha and not getting Neil but having BJ appear doesn't really work for me. (I know he donated a lot of money and all...). Not that the lineup isn't good, I was just REALLY hoping this would be the year for Neil...
Did I miss something? Is Neil now officially not a candidate? (Unofficially...).

All I really wanted was a bottom line on if this means no Neil... (which I guess it kinda does).

heh heh....I kinda figured that was your question - but I couldn't resist givin' you that answer...sorry. :)
I don't think anything is really out of the question until the cubes are posted in March .......

We are still hoping...but the trend is against it. No clues, or new rumors have been dropped here since the Bon Jovi bombshell hit. Only that they were still trying to line up Aretha.

Thanks for the input. Kinda what I figured and we can remain hopeful til things are made official... I just REALLY thought this was the year... Dylan, Van, Bruce, Joni, they've all done it. Why not Neil?!?!?

The list of top tier acts Davis would like to eventually see at Jazz Fest include Paul McCartney, Eric Clapton, Tina Turner and Elton John. Davis would not address rumors that another artist on his wish list, Neil Young, was nearly booked this year.
"He would be on the list of people that would be welcome at the festival, and who we have had on our list forever," Davis said.
Maybe someyear soon.
Not until he channels his inner Bon Jovi, puts his heart into it, and realizes that it's not just about the money. Only then will Neil be worthy of Jazz Fest.

There IS Neil after all!!!! Whoever said we just had to hold out hope, hopes that were kinda dashed after the BJ announcement, was right! Way to go, Quint! That is an addition to get excited about! Awesome...
