Is it just me, or is the last Sunday already starting to look like a nightmare? And just one small humble suggestion - if Aretha can't/won't make it, how about rearranging the lineup and close out the fest with Allen Toussaint, Irma Thomas and the Nevilles at Acura. Now that'd be bringing it home for New Orleans!!

That reminds, I do in fact have several of those in the fridge waiting for a martini.
Those are SO good that in an alternative universe, Kitty tried one and the olive war never even happened!

I used to have a client who had a great saying about FOMS. I can't quote it in Yiddish, but it basically said "you can't dance at two wedddings with one ass!"

Love it and found it online Ross....
"Ich ken nisht tanzen bai tzvei chasanas mit eit tuchas", which means, "I can't dance at two weddings with one behind."
Second Sunday is always a big FOMS day. Closing the fest on any stage is considered something of an honor, so that last time slot is always stacked.

I love how so many people think by loving music and going to festivals makes them knowledgable enough to book a whole damn festival. Love it or leave it....
NICE JOB QUINT! Can't please all the people all of the time...

the salvo that stopped the great olive showdown in its tracks......
Brother, we have fought the good fight for the benefit of all mankind's taste buds, and although it once seemed as if we might need something on the scale of an alien invasion to engender the other side to rethink its callous dismissal of the bitter fruit, in the end, all it took was the threat of Big Hair's finest taking the stage.
Thank you Bon Jovi! And thank you Quint!
PS I think your avatar needs an update for Mardi Gras...more on that later.
