Damn. It's about two months too late for me to make my travel plans accordingly for this.
This is great news! I'll have to work, but I hope a good amount of Threadheads are able to attend and show support. YAY!

Ol Toone's is shut and up for sale. LMF has struck the same Abita deal with another bar (Attiki) down the street (and they're using the full size geaux cups for their beer!!!). :)

Very cool. Glad I'm staying 'til Tuesday. Ol'Toones is closed. Went to an instore in December and the $2 coupons were from Attiki Bar same side of street. Bartender actually helped deliver one round to LMF; said it was too many for one person to carry.

yeah....I know....I've already tried to talk Mike into it. But we've got an 8 hour drive to make on Monday, and he has to be up at 6 am to get to work Tuesday. We'd leave earlier on Monday, if we could. Noon is the latest I think I can push him.
You know, there's always something going on in NOLA, and the only way around it is to live there and not have a job.

hmmmm... Monday flight home is after 3 - what if we take our bags down and cab to the airport from the record store? Hey, I'd have someplace to sit! ;) how in the world do you have regrets after the bonanza I experienced last Fest? by having to leave LMF in the middle of Eric Lindell's set on Monday to make our flight, that's how... I was rewarded for getting to the airport on time by getting to chat briefly with Mike Gordon at the terminal (surreal, since I'd just seen him playing with the Joe Krown Trio experience earlier).

One can only take so much! I, like MRG and Jada, will be in the office on THR day. I wish it were not so, but I don't see any way around it. That being said, I am truly excited to know that there will be a THR day at LMF and hopefully this is the beginning of a tradition. Congrats to Chris and Barry for making this happen.

I'm feeling a little queasy already. I'm pretty sure the folks here at the office wouldn't want me spreading around any illness....I'll figure out a way to be there for at least some of this.
Thanks Chris and Barry - this will be a great event.
