I got an email from Susan last night and once she gets back to Chicago she'll be putting a link to the raffle on Shamarr's website and FB page. Maybe that will get some more traffic.

Great, thanks!

idea for next year - when you win, you provide the shoes and we'll decorate them for jazz fest or mardi gras, etc. one of a kind art shoes.

Really, I have to say with the prize form and Jeff taking on the spreadsheet this year (I did it last year), I haven't had to do that much (more emails and communication type stuff). The major kudos must go to Jeff, Bry, Sue and Swag! Oh, and of course all the donors and ticket buyers too!

which raffle prizes are being saved for drawing a winner at the raffle party?

Amy Winette
04-08-2009, 05:48 PM
That is a good question, that hasn't been completely decided. Generally speaking, it will the the large dollar prizes that don't have an urgency connected with them (ie, no tix for shows, etc.)

For all those bidding on the Telluride Blues and Brews Festival Package, they normally don't put out the lineup until mid-May, but over on Pollstar.com they list Ruthie Foster, Lee Boys and Jackie Greene so far. If any others appear, I will put up.

I know they have some Ruthie fans on here, so bid early and often....

Hey Nash, it's www.threadheadraffle.org, and it's in my siggie (unfortunately I can't seem to change my siggie, I don't know what's up, but it won't let me erase anything, so I'm stuck with 2008, but the link is still good). Incidentally, the site hasn't been marking posts read for me the past few days, anyone else?

Anyway, more importantly, we're up around $6500 in tix sales now!

all this technolocy frightens me. I am like the caveman lawyer.....bring me a scotch, these flying machines frighten me.

Excuse me, but the name is "Cirroc," and it's unfrozen caveman lawyer.

http://www.unfrozencavemanlawyer.com/images/caveman-lawyer-unfrozen.jpg

Ladies and gentlemen of the jury, I'm just a caveman. I fell on some ice and later got thawed out by some of your scientists. Your world frightens and confuses me! Sometimes the honking horns of your traffic make me want to get out of my BMW.. and run off into the hills, or wherever.. Sometimes when I get a message on my fax machine, I wonder: "Did little demons get inside and type it?" I don't know! My primitive mind can't grasp these concepts. But there is one thing I do know - when a man like my client slips and falls on a sidewalk in front of a public library, then he is entitled to no less than two million in compensatory damages, and two million in punitive damages. Thank you.

Isn't this a sticky?

yeah- but it all depends upon HOW you read the board. I login and then click on New Posts.

If you do that - it doesn't matter if anything is a sticky = it lists all the new things since the last time I logged in..... (this way I don't miss stuff).

The sticky thing only works if you go into each category and read that way....

and based on my calculations, 13k means there are approximately 20 entries for each item (and some items are multiple prizes). while some items may be extremely popular and have more entires, i think the odds are still good that you could win the prizes your after.

buy raffle tickets - it could be a good investment.

Interesting story about the gourds....Deb got hers because I rec'd it back Friday morning of CFF...they returned all of them eventually because the post office weighed them and the postage required was .08 cents short. It appears they all got to the desination post office and were shipped back  due to lack of sufficient postage. And you wonder why they are running in the red...a**holes.

The blame is really at my little bitty post office (closed from 12-2 each day) for the incorrect meter amount but this stinks. Yours and the potters were waiting for me when I got back and they were remailed this AM...The friggin boxes were in bad shape too. It took three weeks to get them back. What is up with that. Oh and guess who had to pay the postage twice??? You guessed it, me.

I am so sorry for the delay..this serves as your email sweets.

We got back to camp and the boys ate them all. Jerks!!! I made 36 whole eggs and while we did eat quite a few Friday afternoon between the 6 of us there was many many left to share with the food tent and you....guessing their cholesterol levels went up big time.

Teenagers with big appetites take all the good stuff. I hide somethings but they knew where the cooler was. Sorry Mark!

Another great reason for taste-testing when you're making them!
