We picked up our tix from the arena today. Last year, if you bought tix in advance w/cash (the cheapest way), the service charge was $2 per ticket.
This year it is $3 per ticket. We got some weekend passes (they told us there were"plenty" available.) They charge $3 per ticket, not per pass.
The base price of the weekend pass tix are $35.75 per ticket (not $35), just so you know when you take your cash. Soooooo...
Idividual tix - $43 per day
1st weekend pass - $116.25 per 3 day pass (includes $3 fee)
2nd weekend pass - $155.00 per 4 day pass (includes $3 fee)
That is in advance, at the dome or arena, paying cash. :)

Anyone have any idea how long the advance packages will be around, given the warning that "a limited number of ticket packages are available for a limited amount of time"?

Also, does anyone know whether advance tickets will be available for purchase up until the close of business the day before the first Fairground day of each weekend, as usual? The official ticket info doesn't mention it.

has anyone inquired yet about the group ticket rates? We've gone that route the last two years and it has worked well.
In the past, it's been 5% off base price, no other discounts apply, no per-ticket fee, small per-order fee. So you may actually do better with the weekend ticket bundles, assuming you need equal numbers of tickets for each day.
If you do find out specifics for this year, let us know.

Has anyone ordered the weekend discount tickets? The Ticketmaster site says they will ship 48 hours prior to event. We are going 2nd weekend but leaving early and I want to make sure we get them in time.

Yes I ordered my package discount tickets the day they went on sale and got them in the mail 2 weeks later.

i think you can use credit it's just more than $3/ticket. i think $4 but don't quote me.

Yea but I think I'd rather use cash and avoid any interest if at all possible though
Back when the box office cash fee was $2, the credit card fee was $3.20.

They are really quick sending them out this year. I got mine within 2 weeks of ordering.

Does anyone have a status update on the fees when you buy tickets at the arena? One of my friends said she went by yesterday to get them and the fee was $8 per ticket. This seems a bit ridiculous and out of line from what I remember from previous years. I am trying to see if she just misunderstood or if there really is that big of a hike.
Just checking if anyone has more info before I cave and use ticketbastard.

From everything I hear, the fee at the box office is $3 if you pay cash, so $43/ticket total. It will be higher if you pay with credit card. I don't know the number for sure, but $8 sounds high: last year, when the cash fee was $2, the credit card fee was $3.20.
