Yesterday was pretty bad, but today the sun's shining and skies are blue! Roads around Sailor's pub were flooded, but let's assume he was tucked up in da bar... safe and sound! Our joint is high on a hill so no flooding there. Thanks for asking.
Cheers.

Good to hear.
Sailor used to be a good swimmer.so I dont think he will go down with the ship.
By the way have you heard about this new visa waiver thing that we now have to apply for if we want to enter the states.you do it all online but I have only looked at at night when I have had a few sherbets, maybe I should look into it in the am.

Yeah, I did it went I went to Festgiving in November. It wasn't compulsory then but it's valid for two years so I thought to get it out of the way. The forms are no drama and you get an instant response... probably make more sense after the sherbets! The tripe is that you still have to fill out your entry cards anyway... I don't get it but you just can't argue with 'em.

Oh my goodness, how awesome would that be? Do you get to bring your family with you? I hope a threadhead wins it, threadheads would be well suited for a job like this (assuming no interference with Fest) :)

Job starts 1 July 2009.... interviews during Fest 2nd w/end.
11 candidates to travel to HI for interviews. 10 selected by them and it looks like an on-line voting thingy for the lagniappe.

Clean the pool??? Count me out ;)
The job description for pool cleaning said something like "If you walk past the pool and notice a leaf, you might like to dive in and retrieve it."
Tell you what.... I'll split the salary with you and fly down every Saturday to 'do' the pool! :D

Deal! :)
I was a hotel maid in high school and one day they had us clean the pool. It was a really hard job!!
(Fetching out a leaf, maybe not so much) ;)

now wait, leaf fetching can be rather tiresome....what if they all fall in the pool at one time? there could be some real damage to your tan moving around like that!

I acturally have dove with sharks, both planned and unplanned:eek:
I keep my pool very clean
I collect my mail every day
I'd even take 1/2 the salary
Unfortunately this job was on Yahoo's home page today.. so my chances get slimmer

I've always thought distributing condoms to the schools is the best way to prevent unplanned sharks.

Whoever they hire for the job, it's certainly a brilliant marketing campaign. ;)
