I don't remember seeing this posted, even though it is from back in November. It's good to see that John's planning to keep both the original and the new one open, if possible.

I love the original Rock 'N Bowl.:)
Maybe the new location will signal the return of The Ponderosa Stomp in '10?
Anyone know the SF of the new place?

25k Square feet....I talked to John last week about the renovations and he said they were going as well as they could be and he gave me that typical John Blancher grin as if to say he will get it done. He has every intention of running both of them as long as the landlord is cooperative, he said.

OK, I was reading the comments, and this caught my eye:

Truth be told, most New Orleans musicians are fraudulent pot-smoking, alcohol drinking lazy bums that avoid real work.

Do you think the person who posted it is a little jealous that his momma didn't get him an accordion for Christmas?

I thought that was a compliment. That is actually listed on my resume as my overall career goal.

Gumbo, its good to see that New Orleans has not changed you into a munney grubbing, hard charging capitalist, like it did to so many others.....

I told a guy in a bar one night that I wanted to dress rock stars for a living so that they wouldn't look like shit on stage, and he said he was glad to know that I had concrete goals. :)

Hmmm....maybe I can get a career jumpstart in the green room at the new R'n'B?
