Sorry to be cynical during the Holidaze, but it's a pretty sure bet it's another high-roller option. Not likely to be any sort of loyalty discount!:cool:

With the economy a mess, hopefully the new ticket option is something low-cost for locals or kids or something like that.

Maybe it will be a tier program where the first allotment of tickets are the lowest priced, the next group are slightly more, and so on, with prices going up in increments as the Fest dates approach.

Bonnaroo and other festivals price tickets this way. I'm surprised that Jazz Fest has never done this.

One thing I will enjoy is knowing what weekend to beg and borrow for IF we can pull it off. I remember last year we had selected 1st weekend (as usual)with a few daze between and the blizzard for 2nd weekend was killing me. But as I learned from you very seasoned folks that it doesn't really matter who is when. It is all good even if you are not doing the whole enchilada. First weekend was a killer as was second.

There will be those who need to miss part of a day, flying in on Friday (or 2nd Thursday, or flying home on Sunday. Their anguished pleas for info ("Help!!!! Are the Jonas Brothers playing on Saturday or Sunday???") are sure to fill this board starting Tuesday, for the weeks until the dailies are announced.

You snowflake hunters can amuse yourselves trying to help them out.
