Tremé Creole Gumbo Festival
Saturday, December 13 from 9:30 a.m. - 7:30 p.m.
The New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Foundation presents the Tremé Creole Gumbo Festival, at 1225 North Rampart Street in the Faubourg Tremé.
Featured performers include The Tremé Brass Band, The Heritage School of Music Allstars and John Boutté in a special set with Paul Sanchez, Leroy Jones and Todd Duke.
Plus, there will be plenty of gumbo, with cooking demonstrations by Leah Chase and Alfred Singleton. Food vendors include Li’l Dizzy’s, Dookie Chase, Olivier’s Creole Restaurant and Dunbar’s Creole Cooking, so bring your appetite!
