Mr. NOLA and I were lucky enough to be able to attend the Preview Party for the Celebration in the Oaks - and thus (as a new New Orleanian), I've just discovered Mr. Bingle, and am in love with him as my favorite new Christmas character (right up there with Rudolph and Hermie the Dentist) . . .

Jenn, as a longterm NOLA local, what can you tell me about Mr. Bingle that I can't get from the sparse website that Dillard's now provides about him?

YWES Channel 12 ran a show tonite "Christmas in New Orleans" which gives some insight into some local traditions, it included a segment on Mr. Bingle.

It runs again on Thursday at 9:00 and probably some more.. check their listing

I remember we always had Mr. Bingle around the house in my youth........

Looks like you got plenty of responses. :) I love Mr. Bingle too, the PBS special last night was wonderful, try to catch it on Thurs.
PS. They sell the Mr. Bingle stuffed animals at Dillard's this time of year. I heard they were going out of business, so get over there & get you one.

I would be eternally grateful to anyone who could snag this on a dvd or vhs for me. I would love to see this! I've been a Mr. Bingle fan since I was a little kid. His show here was different, but it was still cool!
