I'll take the one on the left. The other one seems a bit intimidating.

wow...now i see what's happening in that pic. the two shots are exactly the same size. it's just a perspective issue...the one on the right is closer to the camera. however, it's not easy to detect given the background and the field. the only real clue is the slight blurriness on the right shot (the camera is focusing on the left shot) and the fact that the hand on the right appears to be the size of andre the giant's (but with nice nailpolish).

I think I'm kinda with you, Rosie. P.O.C. is an overall experience thing but I.M.H.O. there are better burgers to be found. They're good, don't get me wrong, but not great. Their burgers don't achieve greatness until after 1 or 4 Monsoons. :D

Insanely, we're supposed to have Santa Ana's again this week. DRY & in the 80's & 90's. I'll be savoring this cool, cool drink!
The POC burger is good, but it's the potato that makes it great, and the monsoon that makes it happy.

My faves, in order are:
1. The Luke burger w/pomme frites, tomatoes, Alan Benton bacon, carmelized onions & emmenthaler cheese
2. Blue Plate Cafe, burger w/chili, jalapenos, cheddar & avocado
3. The Kathryn burger, La Peniche
4. Best Bank burger, Dry Dock cafe w/mushrooms, onion, bacon & choice of cheese

Eggsactly.....it's a combination of forces that climaxes to a perfect ending...the monsoon is rough at first, the burger intimidating, the potato gigantic....but if you take your time....it works out perfectly..a full belly and a nice buzz :)

We will be planting trees in the Gentilly neighborhood on Saturday, November 22nd from 9am to 12pm. If you are interested in helping out please let me know.
More details to follow.
Don't forget this holiday season "Give the gift that keeps on growing" and have a tree planted in someone's honor. For a small donation Hike for Katreena will plant a tree in New Orleans in someone's honor and send them a card indicating a donation has been made in their name. (see attachment)

Oh, it was FABULOUS! Very magical. We got to see Cinderella Wishes at dusk and it was a little show with Cinderella, Prince Charming, Mickey and Minnie, and the Fairy Godmother and whenever she waved her wand over a certain part of the castle (Bippity bobbity boo!), it would light up with thousands of little tiny white lights. It looked like sparkling diamonds lit up all over the castle. We were up front, like four people back, and chicklet scooted all the way up to the front. Here's the picture I got:

Yes, Los Lobos! That is so  ! I've known since Oct. that they were coming, but I didn't want to spoil the surprise! The whole band hasn't played JF since '04, so they're definitely overdue,IMO.
Don't know if my pal in So. Cal. will be able to make it, but I sure hope so!

Glad you got the spelling right, but isn't "A pair of" a bit redundant? I mean, one wouldn't be "juggs," and unless we're talking about something that has never been mentioned here, I don't think there would ever be more than two of them from the same source. Just sayin'.

It was not the plural that was wrong, it was the "pair of" that was incorrect usage. And, for the last time, it's "juggs" not "jugs."

Hey Rosie, Hey Mama, Hey Kitten!
Ahem, I just wanted to come by and brag about where I went today. I went to see the Trans Siberian Orchestra and it was FABULOUS. What a show. The only thing I didn't like was the fact that it was almost THREE HOURS long! lol, but the finale made it more than worth the wait. OMG, it was off the hook. You know that hydraulic thing they got on at the end? Well, this time they had it rigged where there was no structure underneath, just dry ice jetting them up. It was AWESOME! Besides their signature hits, they also played a tune from Charlie Brown Christmas, some Damien song and They even played KASHMIR, people. I was impressed. http://trustserve.net/themes/default/images/ocf_emoticons/guitar.gif
The laser light show was great, so was the pyrotechnics and they even had FIRE. lol, it was very entertaining. And the guy on the hydraulic thingy was HOT! http://trustserve.net/themes/default/images/ocf_emoticons/wub.png
They got several standing ovations and when the guy was thanking his singers and band members, he gave a special thank you to the ones who couldn't be home with their families for Christmas, our armed forces. Of course, instant standing ovation and it brought the house down.
Okay, barkeep, I would love a yummy, spiked eggnog. :p

It sounds like quite the extravaganza, Pork Chop and I'm glad to hear you had such a wonderful time!!! :D
I've seen their commercials (as I think they're coming to NOLA), but I'm just not sure I'm up for quite that much pyrotechnical psychodelia for Christmas . . . but then, I'm just a simple person during the holidays, all I really need is my "Rudolph, the Red-Nosed Reindeer", "Santa Claus is Coming to Town" and "A Year Without A Santa Claus" specials. :o
Well . . . and eggnog too! I'll have one of those YUMMY looking drinks, tarbender!!!

Oh, it's definitely psychodelia. At times, I almost felt like I was having a flashback. ;)
The show was definitely one hour too long. The finale made up for it, though.

Well, I went out in that mess (Christmas shopping crowds) last night to get Chicklet's last big present and whew, it's crazy out there! They had nothing left of what I wanted to get but I got lucky and found an assembly worker who put together the last Slumber Party bike they had in the back. God bless Robert, I know he was overworked and abused yesterday and he put my bike together in 35 minutes flat. I hope Santa is good to him. However, I would like to send this out to the nasty customer service worker who made me stand in line THREE times last night . . . http://i121.photobucket.com/albums/o231/monica7966/swear11.gif.
After all that was over, I bought myself the big bottle of Aussie Shiraz.
After that, I stopped by Target cuz I had a gift certificate for $15 and I got a pair of adorable tennis shoes for Chicklet ($4.88!), two luxury picture frames ($3.49 ea.), and a 2pk. pair of gloves for Chicklet ($1.49) and still had 6 cents left over! Heh heh, I did good. :D
Today, I will make Almond Fudge and wrap presents. And drink wine. :)

Take a few at the time in the bathroom.
Tell her you decided to completely renovate the kitchen and if she wants to stay in there with you she has to sand cabinets.
Send her out back to rake leaves.
Give her a big ass glass of wine and wait for her to pass out.

lmao! lol, the bathroom. I do like the raking the leaves idea, if I only had a rake. My landlord does the landscaping for me.
I do have lots of wine but I don't wanna share.
Maybe I'll send her in her room to watch a movie and threaten her within an inch of her life if she comes out.

Well, that's one of her presents from Santa. That magically appears in front of the tree Christmas morning along with her Barbie 3-story dreamhouse w/Barbie doll, Nintendo DS Lite with games, Life-size Barbie, Baby w/high chair and Dream Chef cupcake maker and Hannah Montana stuff. The presents that have to be wrapped that go under the tree now are from mama!
Those presents just got wrapped (whew!) because my lovely neighbor took her over to her house to play with her daughter. :)
Mama's tired. All I have left to wrap are the things that go in her stocking. More Hannah Montana stuff, lol.
Think I'll have another glass of wine. :)

Speaking of how to fool the kiddos...
One of the most fun Christmases we had was when the kids were in middle school. By that time they could pretty much guess what a lot of their presents were by shape/sound. I was determined to bring back the fun. I decided not to put names on them... ANY of them including mine, their daddy's, the grandparents' or their's. They spent the weeks before Christmas trying to figure out what they were... and how the heck I was gonna know who's was who's.
On Christmas morning, all I had to do was look under the bow to find the initial I had written there of the person it belonged to.... :)

Smart! My mom tried that once (no name tags), but on Christmas morning forgot who's was who's.
The best Christmas-gift-mixup is when my mom gave a gift to my dad her ex-husband which was supposed to be for her we-just-got-married-this-year-current husband - they both have the same first name :p
