Me, being a MATT STAIRS - Phililes fan, choose Rod Stewart's TONIGHT'S THE NIGHT, of course, but seriously, if we were to have some baseball songs on our iTunes list, what would you choose? So my list may be slightly Philly skewed, but that's to be expected... I'm sure Bryon has some TB skewed music, right?

I've got, so far:

1. Dr. John - TAKE ME OUT TO THE BALL GAME
2. Natalie Cole - DID YOU SEE JACKIE ROBINSON THAT BALL?
3. Bruce Springsteen - GLORY DAYS
4. The Troggs - WILD THING
5. Queen - WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS
6. Neil Diamond - SWEET CAROLINE (I think it's Sweet MATT STAIRS)
7. The Intruders - LOVE IS LIKE A BASEBALL GAME
8. Paul Simon - NIGHT GAME
9. Alabama - CHEAP SEATS
10. Freddie Holt - I WANN BE A BASEBALL STAR
11. John Fogerty - CENTERFIELD
12. Pat Benatar - HIT ME WITH YOUR BEST SHOT
13. Joan Jett - BAD REPUTATION
14. The Orions - SOUTH STREET (meet me on BROAD STREET .. where do all the PHILLIES MEET? SOUTH STREET, SOUTH STREET)
15. Daryl Hall - I'M IN A PHILLY MOOD
16. Hooters - AND WE DANCED
17. J. Giles Band - GIVE US THE WIN

I am going to be sooooooo useless at the library today!!! LOL

I have no horse in this race other than my love of baseball & the pool I'm in.

However, if this turns out to be the last game, I have 2-2 in my pool. So, the score staying the same until the bottom of the 9th is financially beneficial. My other square is 8-7 Phillies - not counting on that one.

BTW, Sweet Caroline should be banned from MLB. What the hell is that all about? It's got nothing to do with baseball & is really annoying.

This list is not complete without the two songs about Dock Ellis pitching a no-hitter while tripping on acid:

Chuck Brodsky: "Dock Ellis's No-No."

Todd Snider: "America's Favorite Pastime."

hey, there's always next year, right? ;) Even tho' his team wasn't in it, this one's for gumbo - from Ben Harper's "get it like you like it":

In 1918 the great bambino
Kicked a piano into willis pond
But johnny damon swung a bat
Grand slam that was that
An 86 year curse is gone

Yes... yes... absolutely! Because, lets face it... we know why we won the series! :) :) YEAH...OHHHHH NEW BRUNSWICK...er... CANADA!! Any suggestions we have can be directed to WXPN today... Philadelphia's version of OZ... at 3 tomorrow they are doing a rebroadcast of Shane Victorino's hour of DJ'ing which he did just the other week at Live at Five. The flyin' Hawaiian did pretty well with his choices... he's a big Bob Marley fan. hehehe... so www.wxpn.org I'd love to hear some TH names... and they do stream so you can listen in the office!
